FOND DU LAC, WISCONSIN
Stay connected.
Closer to home.
Beyond the cell network.
We’re building a local, long-range wireless network that lets neighbors send short messages using small radios — without relying on cell service or the Internet for the radio connection.
Community built. Open to the curious.

THE IDEA, IN A MINUTE
Your message takes
a different route.
Your phone connects to a small radio. That radio sends your message to another nearby radio, directly or through community relay stations.
The software that makes this work is called MeshCore. The radio link can keep working without normal cellular service or Internet. Your devices still need power, compatible settings, and a usable radio path.
It’s for short messages, not voice calls or browsing the web. Coverage is growing and delivery is not guaranteed. It is not a replacement for 911.
SMALL ENOUGH TO START
This is where
your message begins.
A personal radio connects to your phone. You type a short message in the MeshCore app; the radio carries it over the air. Start at home, then try it with another participant.

to the neighborhood.
This is a growing effort by people around Fond du Lac. A first message, a test walk, a helpful introduction or a place to host equipment can all move it forward.
