LOCAL PEOPLE. PRACTICAL CONNECTIONS.

Our Installations

MeshCore coverage grows one practical installation at a time. These photographs show how local volunteers are putting small radio repeaters in useful locations around the Fond du Lac area.

FDL001 · SEPTEMBER 21, 2026

A solar-powered
flagpole repeater.

Installed September 21, 2026, FDL001 demonstrates how a compact outdoor repeater, rechargeable battery system, solar charging, and an elevated antenna can support a developing community mesh network.

Its flagpole mounting provides a practical example of a modest installation that fits into an everyday setting.

FDL003 · OCTOBER 19, 2026

A new repeater
on Dennis’s tower.

On October 19, 2026, volunteers gathered for a new MeshCore installation at Dennis’s amateur radio tower.

The original plan was to install FDL002, but a complication meant that unit could not go up. Fortunately, a spare repeater was available. FDL003 took its place, and Peter Fox completed the tower installation.

The day brought together people, technical skills, and a shared goal: helping expand local MeshCore connectivity.

Look beside Peter’s yellow helmet: FDL003 is the small repeater and short antenna on the white curved bracket.
